Loving this Easter themed kit...

I would never normally even look twice at an Easter themed kit but THIS is just gorgeous. Papers and elements that are versatile enough to use all year round.  I adjusted the brightness and contrast on a few elements to make them just a tad darker. Simple little tweaks like that can help make a LO your own and are really easy to make in PSE... I have a very old version and it is still serving me well.

This photo of my beautiful, brave boy is exactly 5 years old tomorrow. I took it on his 3rd birthday (which fell on the day after Easter Sunday in 2012). Just nine days before he was finally, properly and officially diagnosed with Langerhan's Cell Histiocytosis, a rare cancer. His twin brother was also eventually diagnosed with the same disease. Tomorrow they will turn 8 years old.

To say I am grateful and proud is a massive understatement. These boys are just amazing.

hello {my} heart

I just love this snap of my boy. He has the most beautiful eyelashes still.

The Ali Edwards hello heart stamp was added to this photo on my phone using the Letterglow and Dropbox apps.

Playing with white space has always been a challenge for me. I really like the look but I have always been a "more is more" kind of scrapper... adding and adding until I almost always end up with super busy pages.

I did this LO and then merged all the elements (bar the background paper) into one layer and then reduced that layer to 75% of it's original size. I really like how it turned out in the end.

I am excited to announce that I am on the Geekgirl Designs CT.

Christine has some gorgeous new designs... and full kits are available and on sale right now until 1st April 2017 at Berry Applicious.

You can also pick up these beautiful kits and elements at My Memories.

You can follow Geekgirl Designs on Facebook right here.

Here is my first LOs using the Cherry Blossom Kit and Sassy Metal Alphas. I adore this colour palette. After all these years of scrapbooking I still think this colour combination would rank in my top five of personal favourites. And who says you can't use butterflies and flowers on boy pages. ;)

I am loving getting my digi mojo on with all these new kits... I'm off to play some more. I'll be back soon with the results.

I hope you will pop over and subscribe to the Geekgirl Designs Newsletter and Blog (details in the side bar).

2017 + 6 weeks

So school is back and I am struggling to get back into the routine of everyday life.

I was feeling a bit sorry for myself this morning and lamenting all the mundane housekeeping tasks that need doing (and that I keep putting off like a boss) and then I decided I needed a hit of scrapping happy.

I used the Studio Calico Sunday Sketch.

Mostly washi and some digital printables from Hello Forever and In A Creative Bubble and a title remember THIS MOMENT from Helen Jolly at Jollygirl's Diecuts.

It's busy and messy and way too much... pretty much like us really.
